BLOG

24th June

Its been a few weeks, not much has been happening, other than waiting for the plants to grow.

They are all growing well, I've had a few problems with greenfly, but that now seems to be under control due to a home remedy...ok I was given the idea of using garlic crushed, mixed with water.

I'll be adding some pictures into the gallery later this week.

Pictures now in gallery

I have a few fresh chilli's, the plants are all flowering well, I just need to be patient......

3rd April

We have now produced some lovely Extra Virgin Olive Oil, infused with our own dried chilli's

20th March

So far this year we have a selection of chillis on the go.

These will be used for sauces & chutneys

Plus sold fresh when we get the chance

Pictures will be put in the gallery

Thai Dragon - Small red, very hot

Hercules - Dark green, ripening red

Orange Cayenne - Glossy orange

Big Sun - Green to bright yellow

Bulgarian Carrot - Ripening green to vibrant orange

Capsicum Apache - medium-hot chillies that start out green and ripen to a rich red

19th March

I've decided to put the plants into the greenhouse now I have a heater. The wife decided it was time to get them out of the kitchen.

I have in total 58 chilli plants of different types, & 15 bell pepper plants.

I've been experimenting with chutneys which need a little fine tuning. As soon as I have the jars I will see what the customers think at our pannier market.
